2024 Bemis Bucks

You have earned Bemis Bucks all season long for in-store purchases. Now you get to use them. Any in-store purchases made during Bemis Bucks Days can be paid for with Bemis Bucks for up to 50% of the purchase. A $50 purchase can be paid with 25 Bemis Bucks, and 25 US bucks. A pretty sweet deal! It is our way of saying thank you for supporting us.

Bemis Bucks is a fun time. We have fresh displays, fresh plants, fresh ideas. And from 11:30 am until 2 pm each day, we have free hot dogs, chips, and lemonade. So, plan on stopping in for a dog or two, or three. 

One way to spend your Bemis Bucks is to buy fertilizer for your plants. Long- time customers know that we are constantly reminding you to fertilize your permanent plants like perennials, shrubs, and trees twice a year, at Easter and Halloween. We keep it memorable by saying  ”When it’s time to give the kids candy, it’s time to feed your plants.”

But what if you didn’t get around to it this year?  Should you wait until fall? There really isn’t a wrong time to fertilize most hungry plants. If you were too busy to feed the kids at exactly noon, and they were hungry at 1:00, would you wait until dinner time? Same with plants!
 
But fertilizing two times is the minimum. If you want to “push” plants to grow faster to create a privacy hedge, a mid-summer application of Plant-O Ganic might encourage an additional 6 to 12 inches of growth. Fertilizing annuals and vegetables is completely different. They push a LOT of growth in one year, 5 feet or more! 
To do these they need monthly applications of Plant-O-Ganic for plants in the ground, or Tina's Pixie Dust for plants in containers.
