MUMS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD
Spencer, MA,
 Strange
things are happening on North Brookfield Rd in Spencer. Unusual formations
appeared in the mum crop at Bemis Farms Nursery. Geometric patterns of mums are
missing, reminding one of the crop circles in the movie Signs. A
significant difference however, is that the mums were not crushed like has
happened in other crops, but rather, were apparently vacuumed up and taken away.
Experts differ on why this might have occurred; but agree it is likely the mums
are now decorating doorsteps in another part of the galaxy. Co-owner Tina Bemis
speculated that her mums were chosen because they were grown without any
chemical pesticides. "We have customers that travel long distances to come to
our nursery, but never before from this far away." Adds Mrs. Bemis, ever the
salesperson, "if our mums are good enough for aliens, they should be good enough
for you."
