Fall 2007 Workshops

Please note these are archived classes for reference only.

School is starting, the nights are getting crisp, and the Fall Workshops have started! Give yourself a nice break from the day to day and treat yourself to a workshop to nurture your creative side. Whether you are a regular or a first timer, you will come away from it with a sense of pride and accomplishment. And probably meet a new friend along the way.

If you had to choose just one class, we highly recommend the Layered Bulb Pot on Sunday October 28. We really cram about $50 of bulbs into an oval pot by planting them in layers. We over-winter it here in the greenhouses that are heated to 32 degrees for 14 weeks so they can be tricked into thinking they are underground. You pick up the pot in February, put it inside a cool sunny window, and you will have blooms for a month. All just when you think winter will never end. This is one of the most highly rated classes we have. Last year a record 150 people signed up for this class so we added five additional class times during the day so that everyone had plenty of space and materials.
