These are just a few of the
comments people have made when talking about P. Allen Smith Day at Pleasant View
Gardens, in Louden, New Hampshire. And we are excited to announce that Bemis
Farms Nursery has secured one of the limited number of buses allowed to attend
this event. This is a REALLY BIG DEAL, and we are honored to be considered a
major partner with the great folks who have developed the Proven Winners brand.
So, what’s it all about?
First of all, you get to meet P. Allen Smith, and listen to one of his fantastic
seminars. P. Allen Smith is an award-winning garden designer and the host of
the public television program, P. Allen Smith’s Garden Home, and the syndicated
show P. Allen Smith Gardens. He has emerged as America’s most recognized and
respected garden design expert, providing ideas and inspiration through multiple
media venues including morning network shows, multiple garden books, Editor for
Woman’s Day and Cottage Living Magazines.
But
the part that I really love is getting a professionally guided tour of the
DISPLAY GARDENS. These have been a source of inspiration for us here at Bemis
Farms Nursery for the last 15 or so years that the Proven Winners brand has
existed. And we can’t wait to share these gardens with you. There are over 500
different varieties of annuals, perennials, and shrubs planted in stunning
garden beds, hanging baskets, window boxes, and other magnificent container
gardens. You will leave their gardens with an urge to dig up your non-descript
lawn and create a wonderland of color in your own home. And to help you do
that, when the bus returns to Bemis Farms Nursery, you may choose 10 Proven
Winner plants to create a new container garden right on the spot, or take them
home to start a new garden bed.
